How To Convert Nokia Ovi Maps To View On Google Maps or Earth
This post is inspired by a difficulty I had when trying to share an event location on Google Maps from my Nokia E5.00 Smartphone. The client sent me their location via Whatsapp (Share Location feature). The Nokia by default opens maps shared on Whatsapp with Ovi Maps. The landmarks and platform limitations of Ovi Maps resulted in the need to mark and share the location on Google Maps to enable PCs and android devices access it. A search online (my first line of action) did not offer much of a solution. However, I figured a way out as detailed below; I opened the shared/ desired location in Nokia Ovi Maps and went to the menu options There's an option to send the map file to another device in the options. I proceeded to send the mapped location file via bluetooth to my PC.
