How To Convert Nokia Ovi Maps To View On Google Maps or Earth

Image
This post is inspired by a difficulty I had when trying to share an event location on Google Maps from my Nokia E5.00 Smartphone. The client sent me their location via Whatsapp (Share Location feature). The Nokia by default opens maps shared on Whatsapp with Ovi Maps. The landmarks and platform limitations of Ovi Maps resulted in the need to mark and share the location on Google Maps to enable PCs and android devices access it. A search online (my first line of action) did not offer much of a solution. However, I figured a way out as detailed below; I opened the shared/ desired location in Nokia Ovi Maps and went to the menu options There's an option to send the map file to another device in the options. I proceeded to send the mapped location file via bluetooth to my PC. On the PC the file format from the Nokia Map is LMX (the file extension '.lmx') To view in Google Maps There are two options to view the file in Google Maps Option 1 Open the LMX file...

Passing WAEC BECE & SSCE With Ease - The StudyRyte Software Prep and Exams Simulator or Practice Test Approach

Image
With advancement in technology comes the need to modernize. The West African Examination Council which is responsible for Basic Education Certification and Senior Secondary or High Certification has over the years made an effort to digitize and automatic the way students prepare for their exams including introducing online learning content and practice tests. The have however been cumbersome in the fact that attempts to monetize these tools and the overall design has been significantly limited. Also the dependence on internet has not been to the advantage of majority of schools and students due to the limited availability of internet and the added cost of an active internet connection. Another issue with the WAEC online simulation and practice test is the lack of portability. It is in the light of these challenges among others that Digital Revolution Systems, known for short as DigiGhana is attempting to introduce StudyRyte, a portable, practical and well thought out examination ...

PHP OR JOOMLA FILE UPLOAD PROBLEM

Image
This is a duplication of an article that was a real life saver when I encountered an error uploading files in Joomla. files would not upload and the upload kept looping until the server timed out on my VPS server. This was a quick and effective solution. Check your php.ini file to ensure upload limit is not set below the file you want to upload. If all is right with your php.ini file then take a look at the information below. 500 internal server error while uploading files bigger then 100kb - mod_fcgid problem Submitted by  ivica  on Fri, 08.07.2011 Tags:  Apache WHM mod_fcgid For no special reason Drupal sites on our server (CentOS 5 with cPanel/WHM) started to make problems with file upload. Quick playing with different file sizes revealed that files that are less then 100kb are OK, but bigger files are creating...

How to Cancel or Change Vodafone Ghana Internet Bundle *700#

This blog was inspired when I bundled vodafone internet and the data volume run out. The bundle was to last 7 day but I had already exhausted the volume by the 4th day so I set out to rebundle, that is where all my troubles began. All the options available did not include a means to cancel the existing bundle. Trying to bundle over the existing package also failed. Then I had to call someone working with vodafone and here is what you do. To cancel the existing bundle and re-bundle, dial *700*1#   for the prompt displaying various bundles. choosing one will forfeit your existing bundle and you will be prompted to confirm.  Dialing *700# will also give you other options such as checking your bundle status.
